Published on the occasion of the exhibition "Chen Zhen - Silence Sonore" at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, from 1 October 2003 to 18 January 2004.
This book brings together a significant collection of interviews with Chen Zhen conducted between 1990 and 2000 by some of those who have shared his artistic adventure (Daniel Buren, Hou Hanru, Eleonor Heartney, Emma Lavigne, Ken Lum, Enrico Lunghi, Yves Michaux, Hans-Ulrich Obrist, Jérôme Sans or Nari Ward) who, each in their own way, have developed some of the essential themes of the artist's work. The whole publication captures the movement of his thought and gives an account of a work whose multiple centres constantly offer new perspectives.
