It's not only Rock 'n' Roll, Baby! brings together for the first time a collection of major works by rock musicians from the 1970s to the present day (from Yoko Ono, Patti Smith, Brian Eno to Chicks on Speed, Fischerspooner, Devendra Banhart, Pete Doherty, etc.). This exhibition, electrified by an exceptional collaboration with the Rock Werchter festival, reveals for the first time another history of rock, that of musicians and artists born in the art world. Some twenty music icons are brought together for the first time, not for a concert but to present their visual works. This is not a movement, but artists who each have their own unique approach and who approach art and music as a common ground, a unity of thought; artists who show how two different forms of expression are inseparable. It's not only Rock 'n' Roll, Baby! or how the voice of rock was also born in the visual arts.
